The producers, the Maximus Elephant Conservation Trust is a winner of the BBC World Challenge in 2006 for their work integrating wild elephants with the local farming community: By purchasing any dung left by the wandering elephants the farmers have a cash income to compensate for any damage the elephants may have done to their crops. In communities where there are few opportunities to earn money the cash received helps to pay for children's education, medical fees and other needs which subsistence farmers would otherwise find it hard to access.
